A call for bloggers

Need moar good bloggers posting frequently in The Blog Tree. We have a few people keeping up with their blogs and posting updates, but a lot of them are very uninteresting to read.

A prime example of what I consider to be a good blog would be Zr388's, it's a blog that's been so far largely about graphic design with interesting topics to read. I was thinking maybe we could get more topic-related blogs that people would be interested in reading instead of the generic "this is what happened in my life today."

If anyone was up for it, I think there would be a lot of people interested in blogs about gaming, photography, politics (if admins permitted more mature discussion), or anything that you're interested in and want to write about for people to read.

Haha.. my blog is still all over the place because it streams from my main blog which is the same way. I'll still talk about what I did a specific day, but I like to incorporate pictures and little bits of humor to make it worth the read at least.

Agreed. I don't mind blogs about personal life, But I don't want blogs saying "I'm bored" or "I need a new keyboard" or "I just eat chicken" because there's a website that I found called Facebook where you can update you status and not have to blog about it.

But there's still some good blogs though. I'm going to make my blog tomorrow.

I explained precisely what I meant in the first post, I said not about the generic life stuff and instead topics that people would be interested in reading.

Sadly the point of a blog is for a person to be able to write whatever they feel like writing in any style they like. Think of it like a diary.

Basically he means people just blogging **** or things that shouldn't really belong in the blog. Like for example:

Doesn't mean they have to be boring, "I went to school today and got a cheeseburger and it was yummy!"

If you feel like writing about your journey in a pokemon game, that's fine, but explain more and make it compelling to read. What else did you do in the game that lead up to you catching the magikarp? Was it hard to catch? What do you plan on doing next? etc.

If you feel like writing news, make sure you have sources, quotes and information that is actually useful, share your views on it aswell, instead of just saying, "Oh the 3DS is cool I'm gnna get one!"

I might start blogging soon, and write them in an article style.

Might even post some of the songs/poetry I've written, review albums, and books.

But otherwise I feel my blog is gonna be for more important things, may be rants, certainly not daily and may be not even weekly.

Comments don't really mean anything. It's usually just if people have something to say. I read loads of blogs but hardly comment.

zr's is good because it's a copy of her "real" blog.
fabio's is good, i think people were just all jived up for the blog feature in the first two days, and everyone forgot about it/it's too much trouble to go and read them.

is there any kind of widget/add-on thing that can show a list of the latest on the front page, instead of just the title of one? probably just throwing ideas out that have no bearing on anything, but if it's possible, woohoo.

i was going to blog about something, but my mind wanders way too often. i'm just using it as a loose notepad, i guess.

fabio's is probably the best so far, though zr's is in a close tie. only reason fabio's is higher IMO is because it's all related/a series or whatnot. if i haven't been keeping up with zr's and it's been the same, my bad.
