A better Hybreeding method?

for some reason I get no more than three pink roses per day and three white roses, but the limit is five can spawn per day, the heck??
anyway, is it possible to get more than three hyrbids a day and how so? also I sometimes put fertilizer in the middle, I find it makes little difference, still, no more than three per day,
heres how I set up my hybrids;

x=space
j=j-ladders

Apparently, having the Beautiful Town ordinance helps increase the hybrid factor. And it depends on which flowers you use.

I already have the beautiful town ordinace, and currently im breeding pink roses, its the same with purple too...

i heard placing them diagnonally increases the chances of breeding
something like

......x (fertilizer?)
burying a fertilizer with a golden shovel increases that working well too, also watering them with golden watering cans
but also: the more flowers in the diagnonal space, the better

I have such a hard time breeding flowers... but I do think the diagonal technique works! When i set mine up like that I got plenty of orange roses, so you should try that out! I also try to move any flowers that could breed if I don't want them to (like any next to each other of the same type)

Some of it is just random. If you do everything right, there is still a chance you won't get any hybrids.
