79 Days since the game’s release and Flick has only visited me twice...

Does he hate me or something? I know lizards are cold-blooded but what have I done to deserve this cold shoulder? I played every single day since the game’s release and I’ve legitimately only been visited by Flick twice. My storage is filled with SO many bugs for him to turn into models, it’s not even funny.

Is this normal? It doesn’t feel normal...

C.J.’s been over like 12 times on my island, I hate him so much XD Ehh I mean, he does give me models too, I guess...

Wow! that’s absolutely terrible, nintendo needs to step up their game! it would be nice if isabelle could make announcements on which special characters have arrived into the town, making it easier to keep an eye out for them.. especially redd, he has only visited my island 2 times??? i might have missed him tho, bc i never visit my hidden beach..

In the month of May, I had Flick visit me three times I believe. The first time, I was pretty clueless so I just spoke to him once and I sold like a few bugs. I feel bad for not really using him that much, but I'm definitely on the lookout for him now.

Regarding other NPCs, C.J. has visited me three times as well. But the only NPC I barely see is Redd. He has only visited me three times in total from when I started playing.

It's interesting how so many of us have such different experiences.

I haven't gotten a proper meteor shower either. Periodic visits by Celeste and shooting stars, yes, but no full on showers.

I didn't encounter Flick or CJ for months, and then encountered both just a few days apart from one another. I've only had each of them show up once so far. I've been stocking up on groups of 3 fish and bugs to make into models for whenever they decide to show up again.

I get Flick more than any other npc, I wish we could trade! I only had Redd visit once since his first visit. ;;

- I never had a single meteor shower/shooting star
- Only 1 thunderstorm

Saddddtt tbh it's all just about because of luck and rng as to why you're experiencing this, my only advice really is to pray to the rng gods to grant your wish for Flick to visit your island lol

The RNG based events in this game are by far the worst of any Animal Crossing game so far. I understand making some events less frequent so that you appreciate them more when they happen, but you can't appreciate something that's so rare that it never happens. For example, if something has a 10% chance of happening in a day, then on average it will happen once every 10 days, but with percentages that low, it's possible to repeatedly get bad rolls and have a 20 or 30+ day cold streak. This is something the developers needed to account for better and guarantee that events will happen after X amount of time since the last event. In NL, every special visitor was guaranteed an appearance each week after unlocking Katrina's and Gracie's shops; there's no reason why some NPCs should show up less than once a month in NH.

People saying that CJ showed up more frequently has me wondering now. I thought he came by once every month. Not sure why Flick hasn't visited you in a long time. I'm in a similar situation except with Gulliver. Flick better not hide from me now, because I've got 3 scorpions for him.

so... clearly most of us on here have offended the RNG gods somehow, i have issues with everyone but the freakin camel... i still say we need to build a volcano and toss isabelle into it as a worthy sacrifice, i'm pretty sure she's holding out on us and not allowing the dudes we need on our islands... or it's tom, how about we just toss them both in and be done with it?
