7 horse mackerels.. in a row

I'm trying to complete my fish envyclopedia and I just got 7 horse mackerels in a row! People complain about sea bass, geez!

Me too, they seemed to be everywhere.
The only fish I always have trouble with is the king salmon.

I have a lot of gripe with horse mackerels. Sea bass aren't that bad as long as you aren't looking for a fish the same size as one. Horse mackerels are the size of a couple of other fish so it's annoying!

That's unlucky! I hate fishing anyway. That was one badge I just found so boring to get. Managed to complete my museum a couple of months back so now I only fish if a villager asks for something and I can get them something cute like a crab or goldfish.
The sea bass I never had a problem with really, its the sweet fish and bluegill I caught multiples of

I actually tried to learn the size and shape of each fish's shadow so I didn't have to bother with sea bass and horse mackerels. I'm right about 80% of the time, which is good because it lets me keep a good rhythm of fishing up red snappers and barred knifejaws.

ahh bad luck! trying to complete all the fish is such a pain since the only way to get an idea of what you're catching is the shadow size

To be honest, this is the reason I prefer bug catching. Fishing is very relaxing at night, going along your town's beach and river, just listening to the music, but very unpredictable. I much prefer the physical and fun action of bug catching where you can see what's going on, but it isn't as relaxing and it's more exciting I think.

I prefer bug catching as well. Especially because there is more you have to do, and you don't just accidentally end up with tons of butterflies when you want a giant stag, or something like that
