Okay guys, I was wondering if I should rip up my town, or reset it.
I have all the shops, all my dreamies, an OK landscape, a bad town name (I honestly hate it), a MODERN police station when my town is fairy tail themed, a ton of hybrids, and my game kinda lags when I run.
I mean, I love my town, and my sister could always hold my dreamies, but, the fairy tail stuff, and the game I put 1000 hours of my town in gone, but I get my dreamies back, and I can start from scratch, and my town can be full of more potential, and I can plan it out, the way I want it to be.
I really am 50/50 on this.
Please help! It honestly does sound great to reset, it would only take a day to transfer my dreamies to my sisters town, and yeah.
Please help me ;-;

Not just the town name, its because of how I layed out all the permanent pwp's, the modern police station, lolly's house placement, and a lot of other stuff.
My sister has 2 villagers she really wants to keep, if I reset, would you hold 2 villagers for me? ;-;

Well if you do reset your town, then you have a blank canvas to work with and you can have fun in working towards a "dream" town.

i honestly feel if i took out the path, cut down trees, and other stuff, i would feel so empty, and be like "omg i ruined my bootiful town" and never play again xD

Not sure if this is helpful for you, but I reset mainly because my game was getting a bit boring. I got all the way up to the Emporium, and then I decided to reset. Yeah, all of your hard work is gone, but building up the town is part of the fun of the game (at least for me)! Plus, now with my new town I actually decided on a kind of theme scenery-wise (which I have never done before), so I wanna put that into play. Your current town I guess is probably themed, but why not try a different theme if you want (maybe) or do a different layout with that theme if you REALLY liked the theme.

If you're getting bored or you feel the need to get a fresh breeze of a new town, I'd say reset. If your town is getting old or you find it hard to keep entertained in your town, I'd say reset, too. If you're EXTREMELY bothered by the name (I was bothered by my previous town name before, part of the reason I reset,) and you think you can survive resetting, I say reset still. But if you're really (REALLY) attached to your town, probably don't reset or buy another ACNL (some people do that, I personally can't afford it).

As for the ripping it up option, I think it might be a little more tedious and probably might not feel as fresh? I don't know, maybe that's just me. Just making it all new feels like it'd be a new thing going on, but of course I guess it could be interesting to see your town with different themes and such. Your choice!

I've reset 8 times now, and each time my town has gotten better and better. And that's without anyone to help me hold rare items, bells, villagers, etc. If you have someone who can help you get started again, I think starting fresh will be a great thing for you. Plus, it's fun starting over and creating a new and improved town.

I may miss you, but as long as I have my friends and villagers by my side, I think I will be just fine.
(of course at the beginning I will use all my bells to upgrade my house to the max because I had a theme going on xD)
I will also get all my villagers, my tools and my items, but I honestly think the most exciting part is landscaping, getting pwps, and working to get t&t emporium, and completing the museum)

The sweets exterior won't take long to pick up, especially if you're traveling to other people's towns. If I have a piece of it for sale in my Nook's Homes I will let you know.

I'll have oranges in 2 days. I just restarted my town too and that's what Isabelle gave me. I'm playing this time strictly without TT. I'm sure you'll have someone else offer you them before I can get them to you but if no one does, I'm willing to help once they grow.
