5 star island today but no Jacob's Ladder?

Today I have achieved greatness! Got my golden watering can. But I have no Jacob's Ladder--I thought that was an indicator of a 5-star island? Does this happen frequently to people? Because I've seen most of the time that people only knew they had a 5-star because they saw the Jacob's Ladder spawn.

It doesn't happen every day. I think I got one my first 5-star day, but I've gotten 3 so far in... 7 or 8 consecutive 5-star days.

I can't really give you an answer. I didn't know about having a 5 star island until I saw it. I ran all the way to speak to Isabelle. I'm almost a week into it and I've had only 3-4 lily of the valley spawn.

I got one the day after I hit 5 star.
But I was crafting furniture and checking with Isabelle as I was adding more things. People may have had 5 star before they just didn't check till they saw the flower.

First off, congrats!

I believe they spawn randomly. I have 3 so far. One spawned the day after I hit 5-stars, one the day after that, and another one today which was five days later since the last one.

It's called Lily of the Valley in NH and I got mine the next day I think. Since then I've gotten several more..

Mine spawned 3 days later.

Mine also did not spawn for the longest time so on day 2, I actually took the time to clear all the edges of cliffs because there was quite a bit of flowers and weeds and I thought maybe there wasn’t room for it to spawn. Sure enough next day I got my first one.

If you have fencing around the edges of your cliffs, do they not spawn at all?

They spawn the day after! Also make sure you have cliffs, because they spawn on the edge of cliffs!

Took a week before I got my first one, haven't gotten any since even though I've stayed on 5 stars, it's random, think I read it could take up to 14 days between spawns.

I've had a five star island for several days now and haven't gotten one yet. I was told you only get one per week, though...? Maybe the first to spawn can happen on any day of that first week after you reach the 5-star goal.

Thanks all for the replies. My cliffs are clear so no problems there. I guess I'll just wait!
