Does anyone uses earphones/headphones while gaming? I do on my Xbox or pc sometimes but not on the 3ds.

I tend to wear them whenever I'm at my computer. Even if I don't have any audio, I'm just used to having them on.

Not really anymore, but when I lived at home I used them because if I used any volume then my siblings would do the same and their games were a lot louder/more obnoxious than me playing animal crossing haha

No not really. I don't game on computer a whole lot and I don't really use the sound on my 3ds either unless I have to.

depends what console, honestly ; if it's on my PC, i almost always have my headphones on! but if it's for any other console, i just play without them (unless i really need them)

99% of the time with PC I use my headphones. I listen to all sorts of music while I play, and play some pretty loud games and talk to people while I'm playing, so having speakers isn't really an option since I live with my family. I do use my 3DS a fair bit without headphones, but there are times I do - usually if it's late at night and I want to keep the sound high, travelling etc - I do quite enjoy it though, the quality of the sound is better through headphones.

Usually use them for my PC games at university, but I don’t play PC games at all anymore, so now there’s no need to use them at all for me.

I use them quite a lot on my PC. If I'm on mic to somebody then it goes without saying that I wear them, but I'll wear them anyway since the sound quality is a lot better through headphones, plus I just like that it drowns out 'background noise'.

I'll occasionally do it with a handheld since the speakers on them are total dog crap compared to any headset I've got hanging around, but I'm usually not near a headset when I use a portable so it's not that often. So many times I've found a soundtrack from a handheld game that had a groovy bassline or something I didn't hear before because the audio hardware is arse.

I always use headphones because I love the high quality stereo sound I can get out of them.

If I'm home alone then no. But if my boyfriend is home and is playing a game on his PC then yea, just so we can both hear our respective games since he enjoys listening to it through our sound bar.

Mostly on PC, but yes. I find that the headphone's sound quality, most of the time, is better that the device's sound quality, plus it blocks out other noises so you can hear sounds you might not be able to hear normally.

Just wondering, but how is it arse? If you turn the volume up on any 3DS or 2DS nowadays you can hear it pretty well. It may not be fleshed out well enough, but that?s probably the game and not the system.

Otherwise, I'm contented using the surround sound speakers when playing on the TV.

I will say I didn't realise how good the base was on some of the tracks used in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum until I used some earphones.

I almost always use my headset when on my pc. It'll generally because I want to hear what's going on in the game (immersiveness) or I don't want others to hear the game (Like if there's loud explosions or some dialogue within the context of the game etc etc).

I also talk with my friends online so even if I'm not gaming I'll wear my headset on one ear so I can still listen to my phone or 3DS audio while talking to them. Or if I'm at my desk and my pcs on and I'm not using it I'll wear my headset around my neck just for convenience (plus I can be all snug in between the two ear pieces ^-^ )

I don't like using earphones or a headset on mobile gaming devices. I only use them with my phone, but if I'm out and about I'll just turn my 3DS sound off.

I wear them a lot when I'm on my games and after awhile my ears start to hurt when I wear them, but they're not small or anything, they fit just perfect. but still hurts

Yeah I can hear all the details when I wear my headphones for games.
