4 deer villagers?

I personally don't mind at all! I have a friend with an all deer island and it's adorable
I currently have 2 dogs and 2 deer myself, I also have double personalities and I really don't mind,
as long as you love your villagers I don't see why not have half of the same species ^^

I currently have 4 deer (and a goat!) and I don't mind it. They're all different personalities so it's not too redundant, plus they're cute.

I actually really like it. Right now I have 3 wolves. Audie Lobo and Dobie. It wasn't intentional but its not distracting or redundant to me. I love wolves. I thought about an all wolf or sheep town tbh.

My only issue is with cats and the dark. Punchy and Raymond LOOK THE SAME AT NIGHT FROM BEHIND Far away AHhhhh. So my poor bae Punchy got to leave.

But deer are so cute!!!

It's actually not redundant, in fact, it's a trend I see on some island as well, if yoy really like the deer villagers and plan to make a full blown deer island sanctuary of some sorts then go for it as I personally think it's a cool idea to do

I actually never really thought about it that much, I mostly tried to have a good balance in personalities/genders for my villagers when choosing my dreamies, however one day a friend pointed out to me that I had initially wanted like seven or eight cats for my island, and because of that I changed my list a lot to make sure that I'd have ten different species.
However, in the end I didn't like it... so I got two rabbits and I'm thinking of getting a second cat, as well as the other two octopi (I have Octavian).
Conclusion: just take as many deer villagers as you want Plus, Erik seems really cute!!

My island is 50% deer They're all different personalities so it doesn't feel redundant at all, and they look really different too. Also I can vouch for Erik - he's a cute little Canadian moose boy

70% of my island is cats...lmao! But I couldn't imagine my island without any of them, they make me so happy! If you enjoy deer villagers, you should have them! You don't have to have all kinds of different species! Whatever makes you happy!

Aaaa all my favourite villagers are deers, and it’s making me question if 40% of my island should consist of them lol. I have Bam, Beau, and Fauna already... but I want Erik too!! For others who have a lot of the same species on your island, does it get redundant?

I personally love deer villagers; I have 8 deer villagers along side Peanut and Marshal

I have Pashmina, Chevre, Nan and Sherb and I absolutely love my little goat tribe. The deer are super cute and if you like them, then go for it!

The only redundancy I can see is possibly the dialogue of Erik and Beau!

And I love the idea of a town with more of the same species! As it stands, I have three squirrels, and two deer! In the end I plan to add more deer :') out gives the idea of small family groups or something like that.

i have two deers on my island (beau and diana) but it's honestly not even a big deal considering they both have different personalities!

I have 4 cats and I absolutely love them.
I don't think it's a bad thing to have a repeat species as long as they have different personalities and you like having them around!

I have a lot of rabbits but they are all so different that I don't find it redundant. Half your island will still be other species to help mix things up a bit.

Update: I did end up getting Erik, and I love him! I got a super cute shot of Beau and Erik sitting together eating popsicles in the plaza lol.

The main reason I was hesitant was because of Erik and Beau both being lazies as many of you pointed out, but I don’t find that to be a problem since they’re so different aesthetically Thank you for your opinions everyone!

I don’t mind multiples of the same species, but for NH I’ve been playing with my mom who was adamant about not having any duplicate species.
That is, until I finally convinced her to let me get two squirrels because they are so cute, and now she is even considering to allow 3 squirrels.

It's all up to if you would be happy having 4 deer or not. I personally wouldn't want 4 of the same species on my island. I might go for 2 if my heart was really set on someone, but i like more variety myself. However, all of the deer really look so different in appearance, so I don't think it would matter as much. Villagers aren't permanent unless you make them permanent, so you could always give it a try and if you change your mind later, let someone go. Good luck to you!
