You should probably get it replaced or google to see if this has happened to anyone else and how they've dealt with it.
I guess it's good timing considering the new 3ds is coming out soon![]()
is it sill opened right now? you havent turned it off?
If it was a new purchase you still have the warranty on it.I have no idea what to Google. It first appeared to be the Black Screen of Death. I'm kinda angry because I've only had this one for 6 months.

This looks bad enough for a return or repair.
You should be able to get a new system for it, but I'm not sure if they'll be willing to swap for a New 3DS. If you could get your money back though, it would be easy enough if you could conjure up the remaining money needed for a New 3DS.There goes my hopes of fixing it
I've had it for 6 months and 3 days. If I return it can I get a new one? Or my money back? Would they swap it for a New 3DS? (I sound really shady now...)
This happened to my brother. It was something to do with the wires overlapping or something. He oppened it up but he or his father-in-law couln't fix it so I just mailed hime a new one.... I don't think you can fix it ;^;

The reason I said the above is because this is most likely a hardware fault, so you'd need to have it looked at by Nintendo or just return it to the shop. You could try doing a hard reset (turning it off completely for a minute, turning it back on again), but I'm not sure if that will help.
It depends on the place, at least here. Some will be willing to take it back in and give back at least a good sum of the money paid, others will force you to contact Nintendo. I'm not sure how well trading in would work, since I think a lot of places would want the system to be in good condition.I just turned it off (by completely you mean so it's not in sleep mode or?) so I'll check again in a few hours. To be fair it's been turning off and crashing since I got it so it's not really a surprise but it's only been occurring more recently.
Would I get all the money back or? Because if I don't I'm better off just trading in for another 3DS XL (I'm such a newbie at this but this will be free, right?)
Thank you again for all your help![]()

It's a bad situation, but I hope you can get it resolved easily and without too many costs.
