Here's a little backstory.

I was at school and I was walking around with my 3DS in my pocket, street passing with people.
I pulled it out to check Animal Crossing, and everything was fine.

At the end of the day when I was walking home, I opened it and I got a black screen (the screen is still Bright, meaning its on)

Can anyone help me? Picture is below. Sorry for gorilla like photography. And I apologize if this is in the wrong section.

Does the system still make sound effects when you're moving the analog stick/d-pad? Have you tried turning it off and then turning it back on? The only thing I can think if it doesn't stop doing it even after restarting is that something got disconnected inside of the 3ds to keep the screen from waking back up. o_O

System doesn't make sound effects. Forcing it off doesn't work. I'm going to try and see if I can run the power down. Maybe the battery just screwed over. If something is broken inside it, know any good locations in Australia, Victoria that can fix technical issues?

Maybe removing the battery will work? You'll have to remove the screws on it though
I think this has happened to me a long time ago on my old ds but then it worked again once the battery's juice ran out.

Well I'm glad I came across this thread so now I know that if this happens with my 3ds to just let the battery run itself dead and not freak out. lol!
