3ds Language Change

What would happen if you set your japanese 3ds to english would ac3ds be in english or will it not work that way.

No. First of all, since I'm assuming you know about region locks and are planning on playing the Japanese AC3DS on the Japanese 3DS, none of it has been translated on the cartridge. That's really the reason AC3DS isn't coming out in English until next year.

Also, the Japanese 3DS doesn't have a Language Setting on System Settings in first place, so the Japanese region games naturally won't even bother including other languages. Basically, you're stuck with Japanese most of the times.
