3DS L Button Woes

So last night my L button suddenly started acting like I'm holding it constantly while playing games.. which makes it kinda hard to actually play anything on it that uses the L and R buttons.

So, my question is this.. is there something I can do to make it stop sticking, or do I have to use my paycheck I get this week to invest in a replacement? (I should probably mention that my R button sometimes doesn't respond when I press it anyway, so I'm leaning on getting a new 3DS. Probably gonna look at an XL.)

edit: seems my 3DS decided I should look like a giant liar. L button is working fine suddenly.

my L button feels a little stuck because i was L-targeting on ocarina of time 3d constantly. it works but feels weird

These buttons are so easy to break I swear. I hear people say they break ober Mario Kart 7. Just imagine how many people's L and R buttons will break over smash. Mine isn't broken yet but I fear super smash bros 3DS will make me break it hard. D: I button mash like crazy when it comes to super smash bros.

If your L/R buttons are malfunctioning I would probably start thinking about getting it sent in for repair or replacing. Very irritating that the buttons stopped worked on my old 3DS, made it hard to play many games like Mario Kart 7 and the like.

Mine works fine so far after playing mario kart non stop. I hated the old ds l and r buttons because it made it super hard to play games that used it since the buttons wouldn't work

My L button is my life, so I was quite unhappy when it stopped working around June. I use it for Ocarina of Time 3D mainly... Targeting is so useful :c

That happened to my R button, too.

Then it fell off.
