Bul, calm down.

Also, percussion is pretty important. Not essential in your type of music, but it really adds something to a song.

Flamenco is almost never performed without percussion, be it handclapping or someone playing the "cajon" (a drum that looks like a spaeker), and Brazilian music is extremely percussive. The samba, especially...

But the tunes I've been recording for the CD, yeah, those definitely don't require percussion. But they sound awesome with it.

Wo!!! You got bul pissed! *grabs popcorn*
Yeah, it's not something you see too often nowadays...

With a lot of TBT regulars that enjoyed my music gone, I'm questioning whether or not I should continue posting updates here. I'll probably end up registering on some bossa-nova forum or something... a place with people that not only know what I'm talking about, but can actually appreciate my music.

Thanks, but I don't sit in complete solitude and do nothing but practice... I've got two teachers who support me every step of the way and are extremely inspiring. I've got local fans, too... I just made the mistake of posting about my experiences here, where they're typically not appreciated. There are some people here, like Gengar and Shadow_Link, that actually know what I'm talking about, but there are also people who go "oh great, another music topic by him" when they see my topics. Just a gut feeling, there.

If they want to hear about it, they'll come here, if they don't want to hear about it, they shouldn't bother coming to the thread.

It's as simple as that.

Of course you'll get a larger audience for your music at a forum made specifically for that kind of music. But don't stop updating here, there still are a few people that can appreciate it here.

Also, there's a Music forum on TBT. You can post updates there.

Well this fourms is flame heavon these days and you prob wont get nothing but negative attention these days.

Definitely post your work with this guy, it sounds really cool... especially if you're just improvising. O:

So, when will some videos be up of you playing guitar with percussian?
1) they won't be videos, just audio
2) not sure, whenever we're done recording the actual CD. which may be this Tuesday if all goes well
