This is a thread to share your creative 2nd floor museum rooms!
mine are:

exhibit 1: music (an exhibition displaying all musical instruments)

exhibit 2: Nintendo (an exhibition displaying fortune cookie items)

exhibit 3: Si-Fi (an exhibition displaying all space related objects)

exhibit 4: Garden (a simple indoor garden)

Here are what my exhibit rooms are so far (none of them are complete yet):

Exhibit 1: Armory ~ My town needs an armory so the villagers are well equipped to fight and/or defend themselves from Red Templars, Darkspawn, and other possible threats they may face :P
Exhibit 2: "Herald's Rest" ~ it's a tavern in Dragon Age: Inquisition
Exhibit 3: Storage Room ~ to put items that don't fit in my lockers; items I'm not planning on using in my house yet, but want to keep.
Exhibit 4: Same thing in addition to putting items that I've reserved for someone that is interested in trading with me but not immediately. I'll post screenshots here or somewhere else later, when I have the first two exhibits completed, with the other two rooms with something other than what they currently are being used for. :P

If Exhibit 3 or 4 is ever empty, I want to put the 7-11 set in it with other furniture; maybe as a souvenir shop display room :P.

Thanks! :) I wouldn't necessarily say that; we both have our own themes that we are following for our rooms. Just the different ways we're utilizing our chosen furniture makes both our museum exhibits unique and creative in our own ways. :) Originally, I was only planning on making the armory and a room full of objects that represent a different culture; but, the more I played around with the Dragon Age "theme" I'm going for, for my whole town; I tried to find other room ideas for both my house and museum. It was hard to choose between following a theme and my own interests though. I really love all of the different cultural objects in the game and I'd like to make rooms that show my own personal interest outside of video games as best I can with the furniture; at the same time, I really liked the idea of sticking to a particular theme, as inspired as I was by the artwork in the game and the game itself. :) So, don't think mine is "better" than yours. :) You need to appreciate your own creativity; nevertheless, I appreciate the comment.

Around the World: Gulliver items.
Nature's Bounty: Fruit, ore, seashells. Was going to add mushrooms, but ran out of space.
Music Hall: Musical instruments.
K.K. Slider: K.K.'s albums.

Or, those were my rooms, until I filled them with extra junk! I don't know if I'll keep them when I reorganize later, or if I'll change them up. I kind of want to make one an observatory for Celeste.

Room 1. Spa/ Bathroom/ Massage area. Some villagers said there wasn't a bathroom in town so I made one for them.
Room 2. Island Room with all the items minus the kitchen island. K.K. Island plays while I sit in the beach chair and look at my 2 favorite villagers pictures.
Room 3. Fruit/ plant stand. Changed the cardboard box to apple/ oranges. All the different perfect fruit are on boxes or wooden boxes.
Room 4. All of Gracies favorite tops and bottoms in rows. I can walk down each Aisle to get to the clothing. The rest of Gracie items are in the saved mail.

um...all of mine are just filled with stuff I can't fit into my closet right now. lol I need to go through it and sell it or give it away one day.

My original town attempted to have some organization to the museum exhibits.

I had a room dedicated to Nintendo and the fortune cookie items. I ran out of room in there, so that spilled over to the cafe item room, which quickly became storage. As far as the other two exhibits, they're supposed to host gyroids, but I didn't realize at the time just how many there were! Both rooms are stuffed to the gill with them, and there are still others I have yet to collect. One of these days, I should reorganize my second floor!

Meantime, in my second town, I've chosen not to open the exhibits just yet. I'm still trying to think of ideas on how to set them up. I'd love it if I could have more customization options- maybe the ability to write displays and have more slots for custom patterns for "photos." In that case, I would have at least one room dedicated to circus history!

I only have 2 rooms as of now-one is pretty much complete, but the other still needs lots of work!
Exhibit Room 1: "Museum"-themed. I just buy all of the items that show up on the second floor and organize them in there. I like to think it's a pretty neat idea, and I may move my mini Ankylosaurus model in there to add to the atmosphere. :)
Exhibit Room 2: Refurbished Polka-Dot/cafe themed. I'm far from completing this room, but I plan on keeping all of my refurbished furniture in there, specifically the Polka-Dot series. I also want to make it some sort of a cafe, although I'll probably just end up moving that idea to the kitchen-themed room in my house.

Room 1: Gyroids
Room 2: Skylite, where I put my stuff noting my days at my town, like my Fishing Tourney Medal and my old tools or pictures of moved out villagers
Room 3: Clown School, all balloon stuff
Room 4: Empty

I'm doing something similar to that with my half convenience store/half souvenir shop; for the souvenir part of the exhibit, I have a miniature Sabertooth tiger in a glass display case and I have all of the silver tools (that you can purchase in the museum) plus the 7/11 and museum models there too. The problem I'm facing, however, is the furniture matching; the color of the display cases does not match with the refurbished white furniture I'm using.
