I'm very happy to have both!
I love Booker so that was a no brainer. He's so cute, he just had to be a part of my town. I put the police station by the river and surrounded it with peach trees. It looks shabby, but I kind of like it.
The campsite is a little unsightly, and I regret the spot I chose to build it in, but if you want some control over which villagers you get it's a must have. I also really enjoy meeting new villagers when they visit. I honestly don't even think about what it looks like anymore because I feel like it really adds something to the game.

I was actually quite hesitant to build my campsite in Seoul (my first town; I hadn't played AC in a long time and was playing extensively on NL). I ended up picking a spot that was only so-so.
After finding about the existence of Marshal, I went and villager reset like MAD (going until 4AM several days in a row). After seeing a tent up, I went in..... AND LO AND BEHOLD MARSHAL WAS IN IT.
Over the course of maybe 2 days, I had probably close to 2.5k tweets about Marshal and man... I scared some people with my tweets about seeing him in camp. SO YEAH, definitely no regrets! I didn't know about the existence of the forums/trading villagers, so... boy was I glad. I just went back into the archive of my tweets and it's been an exact one year anniversary today since I invited him into my first town and joined the forums! What a coincidence \o/

As for the police station, I'm glad I decided to check acnl wiki on the police station PWP's since I kind of liked the modern police station a BIT more (considering I was going with a slightly modern theme). However, seeing that Booker was in the classic police station, I opted for that one instead o: I think Booker is definitely worth the bells to build, and the classic police station goes well with many of the zen PWP's imo.
