One thing that will help the grass wear down faster is if you run on your paths everyday that you play. Ive been doing this for a little over a month and a lot of it has worn down already.

Plant trees, bushes, flowers around the path and just constantly run over it. Be sure to water the flowers. Time travel is a huge help too.

If you're impatient (like me) and have lots of IG bells then put down pwps then tear them down. It creates an instant spot without grass.

And thanks for these tips guys! I time travel a lot so.

This is so opposite of what I do, because grass wear gets on my nerves. Do you time travel day by day or in big hops? I like the big hops because they refresh the grass, but that's going to work against you here.

I heard time travel slows grass wear, might be wrong so what ever. Basically, what you need to do is run a lot. If you feel like you've ran enough, it's not enough.

Or, if you have 1-3 characters, you can make a new one and plot your tent/house down. Then delete the file, and there will be a rectangular dirt patch. Although it could take some time to go through Rover's speech, but it's a free method :P

Woooooah, I got a dirt path and TTing is terrible for your dirt paths!
What I did was lay down a path, run on it for 2 weeks or 1 month and then remove the path.

So, basically, you want dirt paths, yes? The only way I know of wearing it down faster is running, so, laying down a pattern on the path you want to create and run on it often. And no where else. After a whle, once you lift the pattern up, there should be a dirt
path. Sorry if this is not helpful, its the only way i know of
