.

Or like The Hobbit. I believe that's where it all started in the first place. (I could go on for days about that...trilogy.)

I just know harry potter was the first series of movies to split up their last movie into two parts, but yeah The Hobbit was a good example of that too :/ I'm really disappointed with those movies, but, I'll probably still end up seeing the last one in theater anyway.

I'm really looking forward to seeing it. I just wish that they didn't pull a harry potter and split it into two movies :/ Seems like that's the popular thing to do nowadays.

It's not a Harry Potter move to split movies in two. It's a thing they do when the book is too long or has too much information to fit into one movie. Imagine the rage if they left out half the book to fit it into 2 hours and 50 minutes?
Twilight did it too. 700+ pages. That's a lot of information you just should not leave out.
I get Allegiant doing it (last book in the Divergent trilogy) since it's 500+ pages and has so much detail that it'll be hard to do it all in such a short amount of time.
But Mockingjay is only 300-400 pages at most. How the hell is it going to work with 2 parts? Will they add everything they missed from THG and CF? Because then it'd make sense. Otherwise, screw that.

Yeah, if hp wasnt in 2 movie split, so much stuff would be left out, or itd be a movie longer then it all ready is rn.

Did any of you read Mockingjay? There was so much detail/events going on, it makes sense that they split it up into 2 films.

*ooops, not meaning to just reply/ask you - it's everyone in general

Yeah I read it cover to cover and the detail was too confusing to be considered important to be honest.
300 pages of dialogue and detail is not worth a two part film to be honest.

No offense, but neither does Twilight tbh - but every book >> movie series is going to be doing it nowadays. Lol

I'm so excited for this to come out! I don't mind that it's being split into two movies either.
I get more closure with series like this. Like if Deathly Hallows was all one movie, it would feel rushed and I wouldn't be satisfied.

Breaking Dawn was actually 3 parts and took place in two different points of views with 700+ pages.
I think it was pretty worth it compared to Mockingjay.
But maybe only fans can really see if it's worth it in the end?

Just saw this tonight for free at an advance screening here! I didn't think it was that great to be quite honest. Never was a big fan but I liked the previous two and feel they were better than this one.

I'm going to see it after school!

It disappoints me that there are no actual Hunger Games in this one...

Same.

Hopefully they make this movie to be the complete opposite of Mockingjay because that book sucked and we all know it.
I also hate how it's in 2 parts. Where's the split; does anyone know??

I think it splits at (spoilers)

where peeta is rescued and then when katniss goes into the room he strangles her

well if they can make the hobbit, a 400 page book, into 3 films then they can do it with anything. (still mad as hell over the hobbit)

idk the book was pretty bad for mockingjay so boring

You see Peeta attack Katniss, then when she recovers president coin gives a speesh. During the speech, Katniss approaches the room Peeta is in and sees him having a fit.

10/10 Has an adorable cat in it.

I was kind of disappointed. Kind of because when I read the third book, I was disappointed by the story (because it's badly written in my opinion and also because it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be). The movie was just what I assumed it would be, no surprise. I was actually excited to see the last part
when Peeta jumps on Katniss to strangle her.
I just don't understand why they decided to split the book into two movies: this one only exists to put everything in place for the second part! And it is, therefore, quite boring in my opinion. That's just my thoughts on the movie though. But since I liked the first one better, I can say that the Hunger Games movies just keep disappointing me...

I'm going to see it with my friend this weekend. I hated the book and she didn't. I just want to see it because Jennifer Lawrence is great and the film looks a little bit better.
