If you watched it, what were your thoughts?

I only saw about half of it, but I saw something kind of odd during the time that I watched. You know how when the other person is speaking, you're usually looking at them or writing information down? Obama looked at McCain while McCain was speaking, but I didn't see McCain look at Obama even once while Obama was speaking. Even when they were shaking hands at the end, McCain gave no eye contact and barely glimpsed at him. What's up with that?

Anyways, share you thoughts and comments. ;)

Actually, I found that Obama usually wasn't looking at McCain, and instead glancing toward the ground... but ehh.

I don't have any thoughts to offer at the moment. I thought both performed adequately.

Actually, now that I watch replays, it seems that McCain really DIDN'T look at Obama... wow...

And thinking about it, I'm gonna give the cake to Obama. He confronted him on the Iraq war and I thought that was the climax of the debate. Obama switched the conversation from the surge to whether we should have gone into Iraq in the first place. Great strategy IMO.

Honestly I think that neither of them lost the debate... I think Obama won but that might be because I am already more or less on his side...

From looking at things sounds like people for Mccain think he did better and people already for Obama think he did better.

Soooo in other words I don't think this changed a lot... I think the VP debate might be funny though :P

Yup, that's exactly what I think, too.

It was exactly how I thought it would be. They didn't answer direct questions and they barely disagreed. When you have no philosophy to back up your views your main goal is worrying about what people think about what you say. This was obvious today.

Wait... like what direct questions? how the current economic crisis will affect their plans? Honestly if you asked me how it would affect me I would have to say depends on whether I get a job over winter break or not. I really don't know beyond that. Call it not being able to foresee events that well but this just happened, they really need a little more time to hammer out details. Congress still hasn't decided what to do!

All they could say is "it needs to be fixed." They can't get much more generic than that. But of course they are going to do that because they don't understand economics.
