16-Villager Cycle Question

A while ago, I lost one of my dreamies, Pashmina, so I done the 16-villager cycle. I've been keeping track of the villagers that have moved out and now 16 villagers have moved. Now, I'm doing the villager reset trick to get Pashmina as the game is trying to only move in Uchi villagers, but can I get Pashmina this way or do I have to get her from another town or the campsite?

I believe that she can move in this way, yes.

yep, she can move in without the need to obtain her from the campsite or another town, so long as she did make it through the sixteen villager cycle.

euh I'm sorry, I don't understand (silly me, probably)... how exactely do you get an old villager to move in again ?
I mean: where would you get her/him from if not from another town or your own campsite ??

One way to get villagers you really want, other than inviting them from another town or the campsite, is by resetting for a new plot. If you have less than 9 villagers, the game will try to move in villagers until you're up to 9. People use a method similar to campsite resetting to have more control over which villagers they get. If you're missing a personality from your town, the new villager will usually be of that personality, if you have all 8, the other one will be random.

When you go through the 16 cycle, it's like that villager was never in your town to begin with. Just as you can invite them from your campsite again, I think they can also appear as a random plot again.
