The reason I let them go to the void is because I live in a really big city and like sending out new villagers via streetpass to random people to enjoy them, it's not me being mean or anything. I'll put them on here if anyone wants to give me an offer first, if no one bites then I send them out via streetpass. But I spend a lot of free time cycling, I would like to have money for PWP's and such because I don't do much else in the game except cycle so I don't get an opportunity to earn money. That's why sometimes I auction some. Most are free. I don't really think I'm being unreasonable...

If toeto accepts then I don't mind.

I wasn't accusing you of being mean or unreasonable. I just think it's better to let someone who wants to adopt the villager who's currently present is better than sending them to the void, but that's just my opinion.
