I used to think you could not get a 10th villager without asking for someone to move in. But out of nowhere a random villager is moving in and now I have no room for kid cat...kind of upset right now. It's one of my least favorite villagers too. How did this happen??

You can pick up villagers who have moved out of other player's towns through StreetPass and wi-fi play.
Have you recently traded with someone via wi-fi or had street pass turned on?? If you have, you probably picked up their voided villagers.. (Voided= when villagers move out w/o getting adopted to other town)... I'm so sorry about your situation D: I had the same thing happen to me before- when I was saving a spot for my 10th villager and got Frobert via random street pass.. D: I was so upset, too..
Be really careful about voided villagers. I'm currently at 9 villagers and I'm not doing any trades or streetpass until I get my 10th villager..(hopefully soon). I'm like super paranoid about it but I really don't wanna risk getting someone's void when I have my 9 dreamies, so yeah.. Again, so sorry about what happened :c

I only had someone come adopt the villager I got rid of this it. Ugh I guessi can try to kick this guys out

A little bit of bad news: though some have had better luck than others, many people have a hard time getting the 10th villager to move. I have never actually had the 10th villager ask to move. When I've been stuck with a 10th I didn't like, I had to move someone else out first, then bring in another villager as the new 10th, before the 10th I didn't like would move out. Hopefully, you'll be in the group that has had a little more luck with this.
