10th villager moved in without being asked/provoked?

So recently, after having ten villagers for a week or two, I finally got Lucky to move away! A day or two after he left, I loaded up the game and- Kyle had moved in! I thought you could only get a tenth villager if you manually moved them in, but I haven't had him in the campsite, none of my friends have him/ had him move out, and I haven't streetpassed anyone lately. Any idea why/ how this could've happened? :c

You can get them from streetpass and spotpass.

Kyle is cool though!

It is also very uncommon, but a 10th villager can move as the others

Yeah, they can come randomly from other peoples' towns or streetpass. But if there's another way I will scream.

So turns out he did come from a friend's town. Huh. Welp, I'm never TTing again!
