10 character island name confirmed!

I still hope we can choose a suffix... I have two names for my island to decide on and it would be cool to tack Isle or Island on to them My names in mind are 8-9 Characters.

'Rendaku': sequential voicing, which governs how to pronounce the consonant of the 2nd part of a compound word (formed by putting two whole words together). So "k" becomes "d", "t" becoms "d", "sh" becomes "j", "h" becomes "b". The name of the brand "tokidoki" is governed by this. It's actually "toki" + "toki" = tokidoki. So the word "sometimes" is formed from saying "time time", but changing the first consonant of the second word so you understand it's a compound word. Like if saying "timedime" meant "sometimes" in English.

rendaku!! i always forget the name for the concept of how the pronounciation of certain kanji changes depending on the syllables surrounding it. thank you for that detailed refresher.

I hope this means we can also give our islander a 10-character name! I'd love to be able to use my own real name lol.
