1 Villager cycle?

So does anyone have any idea how long it takes for a villager to ask to move if they are the last villager to move in? I am very discouraged as to whether or not to reset my town, but i have done so much work...

From what I've read online it's very hard to move a 10th villager out, but not impossible. I heard just talking to them once then never speaking to them again will make a villager move out quickly.

I spent over 2 months in REAL TIME trying to move out stitches who was my last move in. He never ping'd and I gave up and stopped playing for a few weeks. He finally ping'd me after I moved out Julian.

People say its possible, but i've never had a 10th villager ping me.


My theory is personally invited 10th villagers will not ping until someone moves first
whereas when the 10th villager is a wifi/street pass move in, they'll ping
