0 Bells?!!!

I'm so sorry for not taking a screenshot of this, but I guarantee you, it is 100% real and had happened. Basically, I did my daily check in Tom Nook's house shop and then I remembered that yesterday he had built my second floor. I walked into the shop and was greeted normally, but when he started mentioning my house he said;

"Your small loan comes to 0 bells. It's just a lite bit of pocket money. But don't pay here, pay at the post office and bank next door".

He is so generous, I love him so much! But I am confused. Yesterday he said that the cost would come to a trifling amount of ______ but today he said it was 0 bells. Anyone?

Its usually caused by tting. tt back to when he told you the loan and the game thinks that loan isn't relevant so they replace the number with 0.

Same thing happened to me in my one town. Just give it a day or two (or TT ahead a day), and it'll be back to normal.

It scared the bejebus outta me when it happened, lol. I was afraid I couldn't go for my gold house.

A day or two? It just happened to me and all I had to do was leave the shop and go back in to get him to say it was paid off instead of owing 0 Bells.

I'm pretty sure this happens when you pay off the loan before he tells you that you owe him any money.
