Villager won't remove Sea Bass from house...a little help?

I feel your pain. I couldn't get the cicada out of Bob's house like ever.

You could try to wait until she suggests she wants the sea bass out. But if it's been a year for you, then it's very likely it's her favorite item and won't get rid of it. Have you tried having her invite you to her house? Usually they'll let you buy most of their house items so maybe you'll have some luck. But if she says that it's too important to her, it's very unlikely she'll want to let go of it. Either way, good luck!
 
Ugh, I gave Francine a sea bass last year in my main town back in August. She finally got rid of it in July of this year, by me giving her a bookshelf.
 
Update: Aurora asked for a new piece of furniture the first time I talked to her today. I found something the same size as the Sea Bass, and gave it to her while she was in her house. She replaced the fish on the 2nd try.

Now I just have to get her to remove that hideous hat I foolishly gave her in a letter once...

I heard that sending villagers seashells makes them sell their stuff at retail more often and I tried it and it worked so maybe if you send her a seashell she will replace the sea bass with it.

The bass is already gone and it's a TRAGEDY </3 </3
 
I think the only way is sending her a new piece of furniture which could be placed there. I did it with Apollo and it has worked ! I think you should try ! I hope I have helped you, good luck ! ^^
