Even though you decided to move on that was very considerate of you to wait for the user for that long. I think on the AC community there are generally more polite people. I had Biskit in boxes once and the other person was waiting for someone to adopt a villager and I told them to take their time since they reserved the villager but they were considerate enough to adopt within a reasonable time frame (I think less than 48 hours of me notifying them). I bet you have a lot of "horror stories" or mishaps with other users regarding your cycle villagers.

Some users don't have awesome communication skills and just leave us in the dark. I didn't know that adding images take TBT, I just use an img url tag instead of uploading them with the image uploader. I do understand what you mean about people being interested because they find out this ___ villager has a certain personality or they look cute. But I'd rather not spend so much time inserting pictures haha I feel like I would get to involved in the tiny details such as making all the images the same size or lining them up, etc. I spent time recently planning out who was going to be my dreamie and their looks made a difference (like Merengue and Scoot) I dislike rhinos until I saw Merengue's strawberry horn.

I think you cycle nicely because you give lurkers extra time when you feel like they need it or wait for someone to adopt. I only wait 3 hours for all lurkers to claim then it's up for grabs. I have certain times listed to be "fair" I guess. I understand that other people live in different time zones so I try to accommodate them by telling them to arrange a time with me (if they reserved). Every time I do a reservation over VM/PM they end up never arranging a good time for adoption, or that they are about to sleep or blah blah. I end up giving the villager to someone else or just voiding :c

I also stated in my rules that I do not do reservations or lurks over VM/PM (I always delete unnecessary PMs) and whenever I do a reservation/lurk over VM/PM the trade never turns out well, which gives me unnecessary stress.

I have gotten a few voided villagers before but no one has told me they wanted that villager back... yet... I will probably add that somewhere in my rules later (if I remember too).

People are have different perspectives so I understand why people would want their villager back but that is just rude to be expecting someone to get a voided villager back without previously talking it over.

You shouldn't worry about sounding incoherent, you always have a great sense of "proper English" haha

I just got home, I was on my campus for about 3 hours after my class only to realize that I didn't need to go to a meeting today... How sad.

Anyways, I always refund the reservation fee (which is 25 TBT for Tier 1-2 and 50 TBT if they aren't in my town). I have read your rules a few times before, they are quite detailed and concrete. Having such lengthy rules definitely leaves no wiggle room for people to complain haha.

I had my rules before in a spoiler because I didn't like how long the first post was, however no one can see the spoilers while on the mobile website. I cut down my rules to the bare minimum and I stick to those rules. For instance, you mention having to make it clear in your rules about other's expecting anything outside of a VM, in my rules I posted specifically how I will go about "announcing" a villager in boxes. I never put their personality or species anymore (too much work looking up who is who and what is what).

Hmm, okay. Thank you very much for your input, it is helpful. I think I will start doing that. I do reservations so I set a price for Tiers 1 + 2 to avoid re-sellers. People have been reserving other tiers as well which I did not expect at all.

A lot of people don't like reading on this forum (my assumption) so I am trying to keep my rules to a bare minimum. In addition to that, I know when people haven't read the rules because they ask me what I want to be paid when they adopt. I don't have any set prices for villagers haha (on my thread I just say "any amount: ___")

Oh I don't use Ctrl + F when searching - I use Google Chrome and if the term I'm searching (in Find mode) isn't on the current page then the browser jumps down to the bottom of the site's page. It gets pretty annoying and tedious, especially when I'm checking a villager's Tier status on the popularity thread. I might just only pay attention to Tiers 1 and 2 starting this week.

I have seen some other cyclers that have a lurker/reservation list on their first (or second post) with the actual profile links of the user who is lurking.
If I don't get the hang of searching by your method do you think the above method would be reasonable? (or would it be too tedious - in your opinion)

I think I will start using that method instead of searching page by page

I lurk on a lot of cycle threads sometimes for my dreamies. Sometimes for my lurkers as well because they need a certain villager right away or for other reasons. I tend to forget if there was a lurker or not so I list it on the current villagers post - too bad there can't be "hidden" sections on posts (only spoilers to depend on)

Also no problem! I think that's why I don't state my "lurking" on multiple threads (as I tend to forget - I'm only lurking on your thread and Bird's)

Oh I've seen ClassyGirl mention Gladys and other ostrich villagers in various cycling threads (including the Looking For thread). I was unsure if she had posted in your thread so I mentioned her

I will post on your thread about Scoot, he's my last dreamie. I had already commented on Bird's cycling town that I was lurking for him (he has Scoot in his town right now). However, I think he cycles at a normal pace. If it so happens that I get Scoot for him I will let you know on your thread.
