The buying is optional; after a couple of sentences they will offer for you to buy anything that interests you, but you don't have to. I really like this feature because I had a bunch of villagers displaying clothing and I was able to get their houses back to the way I like them.

I keep mine in flexible top loaders and then I put them in a binder that has a zipper around it to protect them from dust and whatnot.

My favorite memory of the series is learning that the game was in real-time. There was something so magical about it to me. When it was Christmastime, I was enchanted by the fact that the trees had colorful lights on them. That will always be one of my favorite aspects of this universe.
