  • Now I'm to the point where I just buy specimens I like, granted most have to be purchased online due to a serious lack of brick and mortar rock/mineral shops in my area. I must admit I'm a bit jealous to hear that you have one close to you! I'd be there every weekend if given the opportunity, seriously.

As for my other noteworthy specimens, I've got a ton of assorted mold and trace fossils, lots of rough cut opals (including a faerie and Mexican fire opal) because I'm obsessed with them, and I found a really cool fluorescent cerussite specimen with multiple nearly flawless orange barite crystals. I've promised myself that I'll chill for a while after getting the okenite geode... unless I happen to find cuprosklodowskite at a somewhat reasonable price. All about the radioactivity.

    End part II!
I've been fascinated by rocks and minerals since I was little. I remember I'd go down to this creek near my grandma's house and dig through the limestone rocks around the overflow drain to try and find fossils, and anytime I'd see a cluster of rocks anywhere I'd try to go inspect all of them to see if there were any cool ones. That grew into my taking weekend trips to local gravel pits and scavenging for hours on end and getting a library card just so I could check out all the geology books. O_o

To be continued since this message is too long to post in one VM. -_-
For some reason I never got a notification for this VM! Anyway, thank you! I've been sitting here in a catatonic stupor staring at it since it came. I may be mildly obsessed...
My Christmas was great! I hope yours was as well! What have you been up to my dear?
it really is! you should get one for yourself, they're pretty cheap. it helps me get to sleep easier tbh. 8)
for now mostly all i can think of is kerry park for seattle which is super nice, peaceful and gives you a great view of the seattle skyline! it was really pretty when i went in the evening during spring. :)

a star projector basically projects these stars onto your ceiling at night when you're going to sleep! it looks so pretty
woooah a trip?! that's awesome, i really hope you enjoy seattle! i've been and would be more than happy to recommend some things to you if you're interested. :)

i got a bunch of random stuff, mostly clothes but some cooler stuff like a star projector and some essentials like a new charger for my mac. pretty satisfied overall!
same! I didn't wanna have a noisy christmas this year. :( just nice and quiet is enough for me! what did you get? :D
i totally understand. i'm a bit of a scaredy cat too but i can't help but be interested in the supernatural! such an odd topic to talk about on christmas (here in england, at least!). :')
you too sarah!! hehe thanks for giving me a shout out. i'm glad I met you on this forum! <3 I'm on my way to cambodia now to see my parents. I'll be sending you a postcard from there so expect something in the mail :'D
