No problem. When I started playing, my brother gave me some tools and furniture to help me get started, but not enough stuff to deprive me of the new player experience. You only get to be a new player once, and resetting just isn't quite the same. I don't think a new player would think of doing this, but you could easily take some hybrids and breed more with them and then sell them on TBT to pay off house payments instead of doing fishing, bug catching, etc. So you just want to be careful about not giving them too much stuff early to rob them of the experience.

I think knocking down the bell amount to 20,000 bells was a good step. It allows new players to make that first payment without having to resort to selling fossils instead of donating them to the museum, but it makes new players get it done themselves afterward. I still wouldn't give them the hybrids directly. Maybe give them some regular flowers with a watering can so they can breed hybrids themselves. I would give them an entire tool set (shovel, fishing rod, bug net, slingshot, megaphone, maybe an axe) because waiting for them to show up at Nook's isn't really "rewarding" for new players as much as it is just annoying and unnecessary. I don't want to dictate how you do this, but I'm just telling you what I would do and the reasoning behind it based on my experience as a new ACNL player.
