My mom did the eyeball cake and brain jello all the time. We still have the brain jello mold it's pretty cool. I am crazy for Halloween, I actually separate off a bit of my house so people can walk in to see my decorations. Which I leave up for far too long after Halloween, when I get my own place it will probably be a permanent fixture.
Saddest thing ever! My sister's b-day is in October so she used to have Halloween themed parties a lot. It was fun. I love fall and everything that comes with it. (Well besides Thanksgiving...)
