Then, check out To Aru Majutsu no Index o: One of my favourite anime ever. It's a little futuristic and has a lot to do with magic and science and whatnot. Almost everyone has these cool powers.

Eheh, no problem! One thing, though, are you fine with kind of like... ecchi things? I can't really explain it too well but google should explain it fine for you. It's basically like... sort of fanservice, but with no actual 18+ stuff. I know an anime that's really good but it has a bit of ecchi :x

My current favourite is Kuroko no Basket; it's a basketball anime. Keep in mind I actually don't even like basketball, but there's something about it that makes you keep watching/reading. @_@ It's just... so good.
Isshuukan Friends is a really cute one! It gives me so many feels ;__;
D-Frag is really funny, so you can check that one out~
If you like darker genres with a lot of killing, definitely check out Akame ga Kill! and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Don't watch Umineko no Naku Koro ni. Its anime adaptation is awful. It's a murder mystery, but the manga pulls it off much better than the anime.
My favourite anime of all time is Yu-Gi-Oh! 5DS. It's actually pretty dark for a "children's card game" @_@
