I do 2 squares. Maybe 3 if it's leading it a building and I want it to be even. I'm pretty sure you have to make it 3 if you want the path to be even leading to a villager house.

I've recently decided I want to do a witch island and am gonna make a second character that lives in the top right of my island, secluded in a forest. Not the most original but I wanna have fun with it haha

I had the red and blue ones but my red one got drift issues this year so I replaced it with a grey one.

I have the red-blue one that I got at the initial release. I didn't have any joy-con drift issues until this year tho so they lasted a while. Fortunately, my brother had spare joy-cons so now it's gray-blue haha. Might look into skins to make it nicer.

I had a second character in NL for more pattern storage but I saw that it doesn't work like that in NH. No biggie tho.
