I'm holding Ed off from going into boxes until I find a villager who can immediately be moved into his slot, because I don't want random weirdos in my main town. I want to do this as soon as possible, so it needs to be someone in boxes, or someone you can get in boxes fast. I'm be interested...

I don't even know if the Update Data thing can fix a glitch in a game. My games are both cartridges, not built-in. But it seems like if Nintendo can send us gifts and stuff, it could slip in tweaks to the game code, too. It's really starting to hack me off, after happening twice in a row.

I'm not too picky when trying to choose plots, so it's never taken me too many tries. I just don't want them on my paths or blocking half a bridge or whatever. But the last two times I've done the villager plot reset trick, it hasn't worked. As in, my new character has seen NO new lot roped...

It sounds like if I drop down to 8 villagers in my main town, which I just did, I'm in trouble anyway. I guess it just requires more vigilance than I thought, IF I want to stay at 9 villagers to keep a slot open for a villager I really want. No big TT leaps in the cycle town to shake somebody...
