Ahhh I'm still confused though. With sharp shading, does that mean that there is less blending involved? What's cell shading? XD I feel so uneducated hahaha. Wow.. Soft shading looks sort of blurred.. I definitely see the difference now. Is it a bad thing to use soft shading and sharp shading in the same Chibi?

Well there are four ghoul Kagune types. Ukaku, Rinkaku, Koukaku, and Bikaku. Each have special characteristics along with strengths and weaknesses. He probably will eventually be.. But right now.. He isn't. It's either Eto, or Seidou. I don't think you watched s2, did you? If you didn't then you don't know them xD KANEKI IS THE STRONGEST IN MY EYES, THOUGH

That's actually still a mystery, and it's still unknown how ghouls were created in the first place. I'm thinking that Kanou created ghouls but that doesn't really fit since some ghouls are older than him.. Hopefully it's explained in the manga.

The tail reminds me more of like a fox tail, rather than a cats! Nonetheless, I like the fluffiness as opposed to a cats tail which is short haired..

KANEKI IS VERY VERY FAST. HES NOT EVEN AN UKAKU GHOUL YET HES FASTER THAN AYATO WHICH IS AN UKAKU. (Ukakus are the fastest ghoul type, and Kaneki has a rinkaku) aaahh Kaneki is so special hehehehe

I think soft shading goes a bit better with chibis though and sharp shading looks better with anime characters/ full bodies. hmm if you find an example of someone that uses soft shading well, I'd love to see a picture of their work!

That makes sense! I tried making the face skinnier because maybe I thought the head was too wide, but I see now! I was using an anime girl as a reference for the clothes (don't worry I didn't copy it) so I may have tried to make the head like that. it does look odd

Gotcha the arms do seem to be lacking attention.. OH I see now! I'm confused about color depth though. Does that mean I should use more colors in the dress like totally different colors, or colors with more saturation?
Yeah I wanted to add wind or something because I find my chibis always look so stiff.. like they're a robot. So I want them to look more natural.. if it makes sense. (plus I'm even taking that mean comment as critique. where all my chibis "look the same" because it's actually true when I think about it.)

I tried something new! I found a brush and edited it a little bit so it had like a taper at the end. Then I lowered the opacity, and tried to layer and layer on the shading! IM SO GLAD THE SHADING LOOKS OK BC I TOOK A RISK.

Cute things seem easier to draw.. Blood and gore seems extremely hard to me so I'm scared to attempt it haha.

I'd definitely need to bring a couple friends, and make them watch Tokyo ghoul first and then maybe. I think it'd be pretty cool to go as Rize, because I can't stand Touka sometimes.
