I think she did that bc she just couldn't believe it, y'know? the slap was how she released rage, even tho I agree she probably knows Sanji's lying - deep down. I HAVE to say "she knows deep down" bc Nami by nature isn't one of the easily-trusting Strawhats. so while she's nice to people she's friends with and is really loyal to the team, it's easier for her to believe the worst case scenario (which would be Sanji betraying them, in this case). & that part of her always shows on the outside; rn we don't really know what's going on in the inside :-/
Nami's just been through a lot in her life & I guess that's made her more cold in this situation than emotional like Luffy was, for example
hope that made sense x_x

RIGHT, it's agonizing to watch but will just stay with you forever. that's what's really amazing about scenes like that imo

when Sanji appeared I liked him, but as the series went on I felt like he was reduced to a shell of his former self :-/
to me it seemed like they just made him a womanizer & etc bc there was nothing else to do w/ him
in fact, this arc actually made me realize how little focus was put on Sanji thus far!! iirc this is one of the 1st times he's had the spotlight since the start of OP x_x
but fortunately Oda's doing great w/ his backstory & I think his character's finally coming out again?? if that makes sense lol
