  • Working in hotel, on a graveyard shift? I can see why you just wish your shift was over. However, I expect that you do see odd guests every so often.
Had the day off of work due to feeling nauseous and coughing a lot after breakfast. Since then, my stomach has been feeling "eh" and now I'm a little light headed. Though that's probably from not having had lunch, and it's nearly 2:30pm.

So yeah, I'm just doing peachy today.

    How are you?
Unfortunately it doesn't... unless said disfigurement is augmented with a pretty snazzy cybernetic or steampunk prosthetic :p
It can't with that attitude :p

I actually once saw a chef on Iron Chef use a single cleaver for everything. From hacking a piece of meat to doing precision detailing/decorations.
Someone actually gave you a bowie knife? I really don't know what to say to that. I mean, maybe if you're into swords and knives... but even then, it isn't exactly a "pretty" blade. Just yeah...

Btw, would you mind if I sent you a friend request?
Hmmm... I might have to check that out. Thank you for that.

And I assume he's named after the singer, and not the knife :p
Hmmm... I wonder there's a scale that closely matches that of miniatures. Because that would be a great start for making dioramas... as well as being used as scenery for games.

Oh, and my girlfriend wants to know if that's your danger noodle in your display picture?
OMG that squid and octopus are soooooo adorable!

And I love those little pieces of furniture. Do those kits come in different scales by any chance?
That looks amazing. I'd definitely would love to make something like that and like you, I'd definitely turn into a gothic/haunted house, or even a steampunk Victorian manor. And you've been making sculpted food and furniture? I wouldn't mind seeing some of the things you've done, if you got photos of it.

And you're not alone in the jealousy department regarding some people's painting skills. I've seen some of the award winning painters and modellers, and they are breath taking. Not only do they have the skill to bring out the fine details on the miniatures, but they can also apply lighting effects to make things look like they're actually glowing. Unfortunately my skill level is passable enough to have them presentable enough as a game... and honestly, that's good enough for me.
Growing up I used to be into an assortment of things, predominantly mecha (or more precisely Gundam) kits. But nowadays it's mostly assembling figures from miniature based tabletop wargame (Warhammer is the most famous of the genre, but I prefer the games by Mantic and Privateer Press). While I do occasionally use them to play games with, I mainly collect them for aesthetics, and have been wanting to make dioramas... but as with most of my hobbies, I tend to procrastinate, and it hasn't developed past a mere glimmer of an idea :p

I wasn't really aware that there was such a thing as dollhouse kits? I mean I know that you have classic old style dollhouses and furniture that were made by hand, and that I would regard as an art form, but I never thought that they'd be popular enough in today's society to have kits for them.
yeah our sick money system are like the worst ever unless you're like tied to your bed and can't poo yourself basically -_-

ahh man that sucks D: hope they get better!
