All the villagers are getting cheaper. Marshal is no longer fetching 70mil, and Marina is at around 15-ish, down from 30mil. I think Diana isn't fetching 20+ mil anymore either.

Yeah, I have 3 towns. xD; I have no life. The used cartridge I bought was super cheap, so I don't feel too bad for not putting a ton of time into it. And my main town has been dedicated to Turnips for a month, so there's that.

If you sell enough turnips, you won't need to worry about villager cost. xD

I sold Erik for 6 mil moooonths ago and then bought him again recently for 3mil, 5 Gracie dresses (that I already had), and 2 baskets of Perfect Apples (my native fruit). So an overall gain. xD; Made 8mil from Beau. I got him in two different towns: my old cycling town, then I got a used cartridge and was cycling around in that trying to get Marina out, and Beau came up again!

Merengue, Erik, and Beau are GREAT campsite finds! I just bought Erik from someone to give to a friend of mine. And I sold Beau once and have another to sell once he pings me and I actually have time. xD And Merengue was in my campsite while I had 10 villagers and I was SO SAD. D:

Before I developed my "trap Joan with holes by the station" trick, I used to have one person talk to her and just leave the conversation unfinished so she couldn't go anywhere. Worked okay, but it still took a reasonable amount of work. Sometimes she sprints away right after you buy from her. D:

I once TT'd for like a week straight IRL trying to get Chief to ping. Nothing. Took fooooorrrreeevvvvveeeerrrrr (another couple or IRL weeks) to get him out. D: I think someone I was Wi-Fi-ing with gave me Pashmina. .-. Ohwell.

My fiance doesn't play ACNL, sadly. If he did, it would be a whole lot easier to turnip. It was actually easier to monitor the time while on vacation because I didn't have to worry about being solidly occupied from 7AM to 5PM. I could change it back while we were waiting in line somewhere, before going to the beach, in the car, wherever and whenever.

For finding Joan, I've developed a really easy, really hilarious way. xD I open/close the game til she's in my the top half of my map, then I corner her with holes and force her up to the Train Station. I dig holes all around the train station to keep her trapped there. Then all I have to do is drop like 2mil at the train station, buy an inventory of turnips from her, run and cram it in my locker, pick up another 100k or 200k from the ground, buy more turnips, repeat. If you leave the area/have her out of sight for too long, she'll miraculously escape, but you can make quick trips to the locker or to the post office without problems.

I am too, to be honest. After the first couple days, it got easier and easier to remember to turn back the time. I could only buy and sell by myself on days off when my fiance wasn't using his 3DS, so I would think "I need to make it to the next week". And then I went on vacation for two weeks and didn't buy/sell at all during that time. It helps that it's a PM price, so I have all the way til 6AM the next morning to remember to turn back the time to barely after noon. 18 hours of leeway.

11.5mil sounds about right. Plus the 1027k for an inventory. But minus the 1-2mil spent buying the turnips in the first place. It probably works out to a total gain of 10mil per full locker.

I didn't mean only right then and there for selling turnips. More or less any time I'm on and not actively trying to achieve something ingame is fine with me. I'm usually on after work from 5:30-10:00PM PST, and a lot in the mornings on my days off. Next days off are Mon, Wed, and Thurs.

I'm probably not going to keep my town on the day til I reach it. I get tired of turnips pretty easily. Right now, I can fit 1.2-ish mil into what locker space I have left, which isn't bad. Considering emptying out at least a couple more slots to pack more turnips in, though.

Nah I am here. I was innactive so I think it logged me off. I am in my cycling town so I cant sell my turnips. I have a whole lotta gyroids and fossils. From TT and also from a lot of rain in June.

You can try the 2 day forward and two days back until the person pings thing. I usually just TT, 2 days then 1 day, then one day if I know it's my cycle town and I want people in boxes and don't care who is first.

If you want a certain person in boxes first then do the 2 days forward 2 days back trick and try to get them to ping you.
