I know what you mean at the beginning there are like a TON of words that you do not understand :v
I can really recommend to have a dictionary ready when switching to a certain language for the first time.
As well I'm a bit afraid of the french language, especially when playing my favorite 3DS game in French n.n

Unfortunately you have to change the language from the whole 3 DS.
It's on the last (third page) of general settings, if I remember rightly. :3
