I was watching Kit & Krysta’s latest video, and they were talking about today’s announcement of Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
They mentioned how Nintendo seems to be using this 3.0 Update and the reasonably priced Switch 2 Edition as a way to encourage players to...
Nintendo announced today that Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch 2 Edition will be priced at $64.99, both digitally and physically.
A paid upgrade pack will also be available for $4.99 for those already owning the base game.
This detail was a bit buried in today’s news — another thread is...
This is one very lengthy, yet insightful analysis on when we might see Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch 2. Add to that, the narrator even delves into what Animal Crossing 6 might look like. Please watch this before commenting.
The framerate is capped at 30 fps IIRC. So that hasn't been improved. What is improved though is those very noticeable framerate dips that would happen in heavily decorated parts of your island. Those are gone though.
I just want to say how much I like the new Pro Controller for Switch 2. What an upgrade! The buttons, the shape, the joystick. Everything is much sturdier, quieter.
Don’t pass on the Pro controller for Switch 2.
On the other hand, I am underwhelmed by AC:NH on Switch 2. I was hoping for a...
To be fair, the producer said there is no 200cc right now in the game, and he cannot comment on their plans for future content.
Let's also highlight the fact 200cc wasn't in Mario Kart 8 when it first launched on Wii U.
I preordered the MKW Bundle, Pro Controller, and Tears of the Kingdom. I sold my Switch back in 2022, so I didn't get the chance to play TotK. I can now play it for the first time on a much better system.
Were you able to get your preorder in yet?
If so, what did you preorder? The bundle, the console, Mario Kart World, Pro controller, games?
MyNintendo's store will start taking theirs on May 2nd, so if you have not been successful yet, don't despair.
To put things in perspective, in 2017 dollars, the Switch 2 would be priced at around $336 USD, considering the original Switch launched at $300 USD.
Similarly, Mario Kart World ($80) would cost about $60 in 2017 dollars once you adjust for inflation. Exactly the price we paid for BotW.
In...
He is right. If you can’t afford the Switch 2, don’t buy it. Please, pay your rent, buy food. Video games are not an essential need.
If you can’t afford it, wait until you can.
But don’t ***** about it. It’s not Doug’s fault.
I don’t mind it. It’s normal.
What used to cost $60 in 2017 now costs $79. So there you go. Inflation.
It’s OK. The average take home has also increased in a similar fashion since 2017
Actually, the MSRP only refers to physical since that’s what is sold at retail. You could even argument that with this announcement, Nintendo hasn’t provided the digital eShop price. But we all know from experience that the price Nintendo charges you on the eShop is the same they charge you at...
