The OP is referring to Wiimmfi which is basically a private server-esque, playerbase nintendo wifi solution that uses a game's existent code to work with it. Folks still use it to play Brawl mods and Mario Kart Wii together on a Wii.

Well.... is it a modded wii? You dont need one but yeah.

If not, go to system settings on the wii and manage the Internet.

Next, change your connection's DNS to
95.217.77.151

Test the connection.

If it says it works, do not update ( I think )

Then, go to the license agreement where it asks you to gi to the wii shop channel. Go to the wii shop channel.

A message about "Wiimmfi" will appear, but DON'T press a button.

It will run your game after writing code and then you're all set for online!

Also, keep using the licence agreement thing to get on the online games.

Oh, did the connection test not work? Or... did you enter the game from the menu? You dont enter it from the menu, if the test worked, you go to the bottom button on the main screen for internet settings and press yes to go to the wii shop channel. Press yes for the licence agreement and a message about Wiimmfi will show up. DON'T press a button. If nothing happens after 3 minutes, turn off the console from the power button on the wii. Also, dont use a SD Card.

I dont really have knowledge of another way....


Maybe you put the DNS in the IP area by accident?


The only other way I know is homebrew.

It could be because of your wifi strength, but I dont know. You can find tutorials on youtube.
