I also recommend Julian and Marshal. They would really fit the theme you're going for, especially Julian. With Marshal, well, his color and appeal would, but house not so much xD. Also, try to look into Zell. He looks cool plus his house look very classy. He could fit in.

Chadder and Eugene are two adorable smug villagers that more often than not get overshadoed by the most popular choices...

Chadder has a bit of a luxurious, james bond-kind of theme to his house which is pretty cool. And Eugene's just a really classy dude with awesome shades.

I'll definitely consider Chadder anyway! I'm looking for smug villagers who have colours that match my other wanted villagers, but I'm also happy to try out something that I like. Chadder is a smug villager that I always kind of wanted, actually.

Well I think Shep or Marshal would be great! If you like popular villagers I would choose Marshal, if you like kind smug villagers, then I would choose Shep! They're both really great and I've had experience with both of them! One of them is in my town right now! If you don't like these choices then choose what you want! There are so many great smug villagers to choose from!

You should get Kidd! He was my first ever smug and I immediately liked him
