1. The graphics are better
2. Mario’s character design was better in both games
3. Bowser looked ugly in SM64
4. The missions were more fun in Super Mario Sunshine than in Super Mario 64
5. Super Mario 64 had no sidekicks like FLUDD or Cappy.
6. You can change Mario’s appearance in Super Mario Odyssey.
7. Worlds are bigger in Super Mario Sunshine.
8. Worlds are much bigger in Super Mario Odyssey.
9. Bosses aren’t too simple.
10. Difficulty seems reasonsble and not ridiculously easy (both games).
11. Background characters have more character development (and dialogue).
12. Music was better.
13. You got to see Princess Peach more often in both games.
14. Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Odyssey have better plots.
15. There are blue coins to hunt in Super Mario Sunshine.
16. There are purple coins to hunt in Super Mario Odyssey.
17. No limited lives or game over in Super Mario Odyssey.
18. There are more complicated puzzles in Super Mario Odyssey.
I’m only giving you 18 reasons. Why? Because you’re 18, not 64.
