June 23rd, 2014: Hiding Away

Sadly due to a local pokemon tournament that occurred in april, which required ALL of my gaming attention to build a perfect team and train them in multiple ways, five of my favorite villagers from my village left my town, and i am currently STILL mad at my game...

...also if anyone cares i got 5th place...

But now I shall go back into hiding since i see people are still angry i won second place at the last home design....

June 18th, 2013: The beginning

For those that do not know what the "OakRidge Brigade" is, I would like to start by saying that the OakRidge Brigade is the very first, unofficial group of the Bell Tree forums. We were officially founded on December 14th, 2008, under "Animal Crossing: City Folk." (link here: http://www.belltreeforums.com/showt...e-(Soon-To-Return)&highlight=Oakridge+Brigade )

Our job back then is the same as it is now: Simply to make sure that everyone within the game has a wonderful time, and promise nothing less then good people who wish to help their friends, and others, improve each others town, in hopes to expand the gaming experience to a new level of excitement.

Seems simple, but it is harder then it looks....

This first post will be used as a news thread. Keep an eye out on this thread for updated information.

Also, be patient, as we will be having some advancements that will lean more toward Animal Crossing New Leaf, however you can still be free to post until then. Some rules have changed from the last thread, and will be edited accordingly.

December 2nd, 2013: Selective update

I have beebn around on the websites retail forum and was outraged in the prices that people have been throwing around. It is one thing to charge on one time limited, imported items.... but to charge 20k for a SINGLE starter bush?

It just reminded me to get into gear and get the OakRidge Brigade up quicker.

So I kicked myself into high gear and got into doing more then talking to the remaining members from the city folk range, and created an actual headquarters building; which is something the OakRidge Brigade never had before, as we always had a home town, but never a dedicated building within it.



Which i will note that donations to expanding the rooms and the like are welcome if interested (but i doubt it with the new room contests coming up in the Bell Tree Fair, which i wish everyone luck on if you entered!!)

Outside of that, i will be sending PM's to people, including interested ones, to see if they are still interested, even after this long; and if not, see if i can find a way to requite to their needs to change their mind.

This holiday season is the time to act, and our gift, as the Oakridge Brigade, to the Bell Tree forms, is to gain their unofficial army back, because only together we stand can we make a difference; a REAL difference.

In other news, i re-read over the sections and seen that i forgot to put the QR code up for the flag. Sorry. So i updated that part. I also am going to update the town tune to the current theme, as it is no longer the grandfather clock tune.

Also that is about it. If i do not post up here again, i hope you all have a great new year! Also good luck again for those who entered in the Bell Fair Contests!

Question: What is the OakRidge Brigade?
Answer: It is a group of people who specialize in nothing but making sure that people enjoy the game to its fullest extent.

Question: How was the OakRidge Brigade formed?
Answer: We began in Animal Crossing City Folk. It was formed under the acts of displaying myself and other TBT members to improve the gameplay. It was originally called the OakRidge Animal Lovers, but then BleuDraegen thought of a better name; and we adopted it. We all think it turned out pretty well.

Question: Why do you not sell or make a profit your fruits, flag/cloths designs, and other selective services?
Answer: You can't put a price on something you enjoy.

Question: I want to be part of the OakRidge Brigade! How do I do that?
REVISED ANSWER: After exchanging friend codes, you must join one of my, or the crew members get together parties (Which will be random, unless announced) at least three times to see if you qualify.

Question: What does the OakRidge Brigade do on the other days of the week?
Answer: Forfill orders, visit other towns to assist the selective clients... to much to type out on one thread. XD

NEW Question: If you are chosen to join, how active do your members need to be?
Answer: You do not have to be that active at all. I know that life exists outside the game. Plus with the friend codes, we are not limited like we were in City Folk. ^_^

Question: Is there a way to get quietly dismissed from the OakRidge Brigade?
REVISED ANSWER: Yes, just ask me and you will be removed from the list.

Question: What are the ranks of the OakRidge Brigade?
Answer: The same as the United States Army ranks, only more basic. General > Colonel > Major > Captain > Lieutenant > Officer > Sergeant > Corporal > Private. Think of us as the Army of TBT.


Blacklist__________ (Q&A)

Question: What is the OakRidge Brigade blacklist?
Answer: It is a list of people who has intentionally done harm to people to the TBT forum. Rather or not that they directly involve the OakRidge Brigade or its members, we tend to look out for more then just our own kind, but the other people as well.
ADDITION: For animal Crossing New Leaf, you will be asked for the persons username in the TBT, and their 3DS friend code, along with the claim. IF you have a picture, then supply it, but it is not necessary. If the person is NOT a member of the TBT, then simply list their code to me, and I will list it down as "unknown". We are here to make sure people enjoy themselves, so this is a revised way to make sure people enjoy themselves.


Question: I'v been Blacklisted! How do I get off of it?
Answer: You don't. Why not? Because if you did it once, you would do it again. The TBT doesn't deserve those kinds of people roaming their lands that they worked hard on.
REVISED ANSWER: For Animal Crossing New Leaf, an extra rules will be applies to the black list.
If you are caught to lie about said thievery or property damage, or go out of your way to frame someone, you yourself will be placed on the black list, unable to be removed, period.
ADDITION: The blacklist from City Folk will be carried over, and noted which game it happened on. Do NOT think you are escaping this list just because we expanded.


Services__________ (Q&A)

Question: When you say "Free," What is the limits on it?
Answer: Well of course I am sure none of us will give you everything we ever owned, but we do plan to try and make everyone else's end a little easier.

Question: What is the limitation to buying an item from an OakRidge Brigade member?
Answer: Most people sell for store price, plus a little delivery tax on the side. However, I personally make sure that each delivery that is made is NOT made for personal gain. Aka, selling a 600 bell lava lamp for 600,000 bells is an example of what is NOT the way the OakRidge Brigade rolls. (Neither is 599,999). You are best to ask the members directly for this info.

Question: How do we know which OakRidge Brigade member gives out which services?
REVISED ANSWER: At the moment, all you can do is post in the thread and see who raises their hand first to help you.

Question: What if i still want to pay them more?
Answer: Go ahead, so long as you do not regret your offer, or turn your back them. That alone is a one way ticket to the blacklist for scamming other TBT members. We are here to make people happy, not rage war. If you don't want to donate, then don't.

Question: Is there a way to get discharged, and is there a list?
Answer: Yes there is, due to the fact that everyone who approches anybody should know how to respect them. The OakRidge Brigade members and leaders expect the same respect as you would give to your parents. As for the list, so far we have only one dishonorable discharge. lil_newfie. Let's keep it that way.

You do not have to if you don't want to you know. Its just a way to centralize and know which people you can trust, and who will actually help you that wouldn't stab you in the back. That is a good safety quality in my eyes.
