Not getting bottles on HHP island

I keep looking for bottles and I haven't had any. Am I doing something wrong?

You don’t get them from the get go. I’m sorry I don’t remember which point exactly in the game it unlocks but after a few houses Niko will give you the first bottle he found on the beach and ask about DIYs and from then you’d be able to see one everyday at the beach.

I think it’s after niko gives you the message in the bottle.

They only start spawning once day on HHP after Lottie tells you to speak to Niko who then hands you a DIY which I believe is always from the glowing moss series. On your next visit run around the beaches and a bottle will appear in the exact same manner as when you find one on your own island.

oooh, i didn't know you could get diy bottles from the hhp island! i've already gotten the diy from niko, so guess who's going hunting now, lol.

Make sure to check the top beach. If you don't see it on the bottom, sometimes, it spawns there.

Niko told me about them and then 2 days later 1 showed up today.
