I think I saw this same joke on a cartoon that was made 65 years ago.

At first I thought your choice to use the Animal Crossing theme to tell this story was a poor one, but on reflection I realize that is not the case. You realized that no other motif could so accurately portray the near-Orwellian dystopia envisioned by this "joke"; and it is, indeed, a joke. This tale will surely go down in history as the most thought-provoking commentary on the current political and social milieux, but also for its exquisite and incomparable comedic structure. The way you eschewed any actual artistic subtlety just served to further realize the despair felt by the apparently-humanoid Tom Nook, as the snide policeman tells him to "save it for the judge"; justice, as we are all increasingly aware, is indeed a joke in itself in today's world. Only one word can describe this work of peerless and timeless art: sublime.

I have a large vocabulary and I didn't understand half of that 0_o
 
I understood it, would of been funnier if it wasn't made with stick figures. :] 3/5
