Day 1

Hello and welcome to my island Lunasoleil. Luna means moon and soleil means sun so my island name means moonsun. My island was established in 2020 but this is my first journal. My resident representative is Tiffany(me). My other characters are Ross(named for my husband) and Roxie(named for our dachshund). I also have 10 awesome villagers:

Walt-our cranky, but loveable, old man
Raymond-our style guru
Molly-my favorite(but don't tell the other villagers)
Stitches-really likes bugs
Drift-island fitness coach
Bettina-best cook around
Shep-loves living the island life
Cherry- resident night owl
Ione- she's a little "spacey" lol
Melba- our newest arrival and a real bookworm


My island is northern hemisphere which means it's winter here. It's the time of year for catching snowflakes, building(extremely picky) snowmen and watching the northern lights, so pretty. Let's enjoy it while we can(it'll be spring before we know it) but if it gets too cold we'll head to The Roost for a steaming hot coffee. Yum!

Day 2


Welcome back everyone! Over the coming days I will taking you on a tour of my island. We'll meet the villagers, see the sights and maybe run into a special visitor or two! We'll start off with my house. Welcome to my home sweet home!

This is the exterior.

I was going for a cottage look and I think the trees and flowers add to that nicely. Hi Resetti! Now let's head inside shall we?

Front room

I think this room is very cozy and inviting. I love to read so a bookshelf is a must. The two wall tiles on the left are my husbands and my zodiac signs. I wanted to include him in my house and this is how I did it.

Right side room

This is my laundry/crafting room(you can just see the crafting table next to the wardrobe). This is a simple, basic room but I like it.

Back room

This is my kitchen. I had the basic idea for this room in my head long before I actually made it. I knew I wanted to use that wall the first time I saw it. I wanted my kitchen to be very open and bright. My favorite thing is the cherry blossom branches, so pretty.

Left side room

This is my bathroom. I wanted a very calm, relaxing space. A nice bubble bath and a good book is just what you need at the end of a long day.

Upstairs

Here's my bedroom. This one took a long while to get right. I just couldn't figure out what I wanted. Then I put side tables with the hyacinth lamps and the rest just kind of fell into place. Yes I have 2 items(bag and book with pen) that the HHA considers trash but I like them and I never cared about the dump old HHA anyway, lol.

Basement

And last but definitely not least my game room. I have my gaming pc and my ac wii setup and ready to go. Lots of photos of villagers who left to travel the world. And I had to add an extra pic of my awesome aquarium!

Day 3

Hello again! Isabelle has informed us we have a camper today so let's go to the campsite!

Hi Hans welcome to our island. I like him but I'm happy with the villagers I have so I won't be asking him to stay.

I see a light on in Melba's house so l'm going to stop in and say hello.

Somehow the glasses make her look even cuter than she already is. Melba and I have a lot in common, we both love to read and do puzzles and just relax in our houses. Nice seeing you Melba!

And Raymond is home too I see.

Um, Raymond why are you wearing a label hat with your suit? Is this the latest fashion craze? I hope not lol. Enjoy your sandwich and see you later.

Hey Label is here today, time for a fashion check!

So she wants a work outfit, ok I think I have exactly what she's looking for.

We have a geisha wig, Nook Inc snorkel, DAL apron, prom sash, Santa pants, bobby socks and pumps designed by Label herself. I look Mah-velous! Do I pass the check?

Yep, she loves it(don't mind Cherry in the background, I guess the plaza got a little too dusty lol).

Here we are on day 4(well, evening actually). Jolly Redd's Treasure Trawler is open for business today.

Oh my gosh I made him perfect! I have some serious snowman building skills(jk I'm terrible at this I just got lucky this time).

Day 5

Today begins with a visit to Cherry's house.

As you can see she is hard at work. She's making a hyacinth lamp. I already have this recipe but she gives me a copy to share with others.

Now let's go see Stitches. Hi Stitches what's new?

Oh no! We better bring him some medicine stat!

No worries Drift, we're here to help, take this and you'll feel better.

well I guess you missed a spot lol. I'm glad Molly knew it was yours.

It's saturday and that means K.K. Slider is here. You should always go at night so you can request a song.

Day 6

A lovely Lunasoleil sunday to you! First things first let's go check on Drift, he wasn't feeling well yesterday but the medicine we gave him seemed to help.

Oh good he's back to his old self again! Drift is one of 3 villagers whos picture I still need so we'll give him a wrapped giant clam while were here.

No photo today just a doctors coat. Melba and Shep didn't give us pics either but that's ok, we'll try again tomorrow. If we hurry we can make it to the islands daily stretching session, let's go.

Whew that was a good workout, let's go take a break at The Roost(maybe we can finally talk Brewster into making iced coffee).

Hey Daisy Mae is here, guess she needs a break after a long day of selling turnips.

Ok Daisy I just hope you wipe your nose first, ewww.

Day 7

The moment I stepped out of my house I smelled something delicious, but where is it coming from? I followed the aroma all the way to Bettina's house. Hi Bettina what are you cooking?

It smells heavenly. I can't wait to try some!
"Hey Tiffany if you could run to the community garden and grab me some apples and wheat I'll make some apple pie for dessert." Yum! You got it Bettina.

Here on Lunasoleil we try to be as self sufficient as we can. In addition to catching fish we grow our own fruits and vegetables.

This is our orchard. We have apples, pears, oranges, cherries and peaches. We also planted coconut trees but those are on the beach since that is where they grow best.

And this is our vegetable garden. We have wheat, sugarcane, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots and pumpkins. We even have our own bee colony to pollinate our crops. It's a small garden now but we are looking to expand and grow larger amounts of crops, a bigger orchard and a variety of pumpkins. Once we find the right spot we'll go talk to Mr. Nook and he'll give us a brand new loan to pay back(and we all know how much he loves to give loans lol). I'm gonna run those ingredients over to Bettina now so she can get started on that pie. Bye for now!

Day 8

I am super excited, it took A LOT of gifts and even more patience but I finally got Drift's photo!

It's so cute! I put it right outside his house. Now I just need a photo from Shep and Melba.

This is our islands museum. We have exhibits featuring art, fossils, bugs and fish. And to make sure those exhibits stay safe we have round the clock, highly trained security gnomes. Keep up the good work guys.

Well said Flick. By the way Blathers says you are welcome to take as many bugs as you want(all of them is his preference).

I'm hearing rumors there are strangers camping in the woods, we better check it out.

Oh it's just some of the security gnomes enjoying their day off. I think I'll hang out for a while and have some marshmallows, yum!

Day 9

Good evening! As I wander the island at night it can start to feel kinda spooky and I have to wonder "Are ghosts real?" Yes, yes they are. But our resident ghost is more scared then we are and has a tendency to fall to pieces(quite literally) over pretty much everything.

Sure Wisp I'll find your spirit pieces(again).

And what's my reward for all this spirit searching? A bathroom stool. Sigh.

And speaking of scary I came across a true night terror, luckily I got him before he got me. I think I'll call him Aragog.

Ok whatever you say. I'd like to buy one mysterious wall and one mysterious floor please.

I got magma cavern wall and flowing river flooring, nice.

Time to go get a reading from Katrina. Hello Madame Katrina what does my future hold?

Day 10(wow already?)

Oh my gosh right off the bat today I got Sheps Photo,yay! Two down one to go(I'm looking at you Melba).

And last night another player was kind enough to give me the entire zodiac set, they are so cute and I am super excited!

Now I want to show you my flower garden with an Alice in Wonderland theme(I tried my best to get the pics lined up).

This started with zero thoughts of Alice in Wonderland btw. I started out with flowers everywhere and it was a mess(yall know what that's like). I wanted to clean everything but still have somewhere to keep some of each flower for seasonal decorating. This turned into me deciding I wanted all the hybrids too. So I got two of each type of flower and each color variation(i have gold roses too but they are somewhere else) and I put them in a fenced area so they couldn't spread again. Then I realized I had gaps in my rows because the flowers don't all have the same color variations. Well I didn't want to just leave gaps so I had to come up with stuff to fill in the spaces. I went through several ideas and ultimately landed on Alice in Wonderland. I visited some Alice in Wonderland islands for inspiration and I used some custom designs as well(note: none of them are mine they all came from the design portal).

So we have the the bunny day bunny decoration in white and a stop watch for the white rabbit(I'm late). A table with a drink me bottle and the tiny door. The mad hatters tea party(a very merry unbirthday to you). I so wish I could put a top hat and bunny ears on those chairs. The caterpillar turned into a butterfly and his mushroom(whooo are you?). The cheshire cat(we're all mad here). And the red queen with an axe(Off with her head!) It took me a good while to get this set up but I'm pretty happy with it. I hope you like it too! Day 11

I know I have fallen behind on my journal of late(apologies). Sometimes life just gets in the way you know? Anywho, things have been fairly quiet on our island(not that this is unusual) and that's just how we like it lol. I'm happy to report I finally got the last villager photo I needed today, thanks Melba(doesn't she look adorable in her little hat?)

The big news is we have finally settled on a spot for our bigger better Lunasoleil community garden. This new garden will be more farm like with more crops, including multiple kinds of pumpkins. And we will be adding more bees for pollinating the crops. There is a tentative plan to move our orchard to this new location as well. Also(space permitting) a small pond for the local duck community. Construction on the new garden will begin once the area has been cleared and flattened. The original garden has already been cleared and is now home to our campsite(still a work in progress) which had to be moved to make way for the new garden. I will continue to update as the work progresses but in the meantime I will leave you with photos of the work being done on the old garden/new campsite. See you later!
