I was told that villagers no longer move on to your paths after the update? Can I get a fact check, also an explanation of how this works?

Does it only work with amiibo cards and how do I get villagers to not plot over trees, flowers, or anything else on the ground?

It is true, not sure how they coded it into the game though. You could try putting qr codes around them. But villagers will plot on a 3 by 3 plot spaces. It works with all villagers.

Yeah, I have no idea how it works, but it absolutely does! Unfortunately trees, flowers, etc are still (un)fair game for villager houses, but so long as there's no 3x3 space available for their house to fit, they won't move there. In a recently reset town I put patterns down all over the place and left only 3x3 spaces where I wanted my villagers to live. You dont have to cover like, every inch, but if you try this I would absolutely suggest plot resetting the normal way as well. I missed several open spaces the first few times where villagers could have moved, and would have had I not plot reset!

But now i have 5 of them all in a perfect row and it's the most satisfying thing *_*

Someone posted a guide on how to do this: http://www.belltreeforums.com/showthread.php?418162-Moving-villagers-where-you-want

It also works with all villagers, not just Amiibo ones.

Keep in mind that if there is no 3x3 space available for a villager to move in, then they can move on paths, so always try and have a space for a house available.
