Yes, they time travel, the same way some players have already gotten all 40 in only half a day.

24, which I'm pretty sure are all the sea creatures available in July in the northern hemisphere.

My favorite thing about catching sea creatures is seeing the coral reef exhibit in my museum expand! All the anemones, sea plants, and bivalves look SO cool! I especially like the gigas clam.
