How does cataloging work?

First-time player of the Animal Crossing series (absolutely addicted) and a tad confused about cataloging items. I understand it's the red machine in the T&T mart. Is it just a list of items I've previously held or is it what I currently hold in my lockers/pockets/etc?

Also, what's the ABD?

they only mentioned your "signature"? I'm puzzled as to how your name was allowed at all.

To be honest, if they are allowing the name, then they should have had no issues with any signature you were using either.

I understand that. After all, I have two grown children. Might I suggest, though, that you consider changing your avatar as well? While it does not show anything in particular, it is highly provocative and not something I would want my 12 year old to see if he glanced over my shoulder.

In effect 'no' word is vulgar, it is always the definition of the word that sets the impression of those who read it.

and weather you are affiliated in anyway with porn doesn't matter, the fact is you use it as a representative of yourself, even if it is just an online persona, to most that is the only aspect they will ever know about you.

That is fine if all you want people to think of you is that your just a porn tool, however even you should have common sense enough to know what is appropriate for places populated by children and families. Yeah, to catalogue items all you have to do is pick them up. Isn't it great? Sometimes you'll even find really generous people who'll let you catalogue their rare or season-specific items for free! I'm trying to catalogue as many items as possible just for the shopping badges.

And also, I don't see what the big deal is with Hentai's name... The raunchy nature of what "hentai" actually is doesn't even have anything to do with him or her if it's only a name. When it's made into a big deal is when you bring up the definition of the word, which to me, makes you more of the one being inappropriate than Hentai. Besides, didn't I read somewhere before that the reason some people like TBT more than other AC forums is because this one is comparatively more relaxed with their rules? If you guys keep blowing things out of proportion, that will quickly change. >_>
